Keliling Amerika - Roadtrip to East Coast

My husband only has two weeks holiday. Without any further consideration we finally decided to have road trip to East Coast  yeay!

First stop is Durham, North Carolina. We stopped here because we have several friends who are studying at Duke University. It took about ten hours to get there. We spend one night and continued our journey to Orlando, Florida for about 11 hrs. Below is the Duke University pic :)

Actually this was our second trip to Orlando :D Two years ago we visited Orlando to see Walt Disney World, Universal Studio and also Sea World. We went there by plane to Orlando last year, we also rent a car which is soooooooo damn costly :( . Well, our 2nd visit to Orlando was a quite different. We stayed at the apartment which can load 11 people and fully furnished with the kitchen and it is cost only for 40$ a day !!! compared to our stayed before at three stars hotel which cost us for about 70$ a day :). Hmmm...it's never ending story if i shared about hotel,cost, bla bla bla...So dsepite those Disney and Universal worlds, Orlando provide many more attraction. There are lot of Fun Spot. It's like a indoor and outdoor action park.  Whole lot cheaper than Disney world of course,but it's fun. We can ride mini ferris wheels, bumper boats,bumper cars, paratroopers,scrambler ride,Gokart...noted that gokart in this spot is really cool!!. However, one of my friend tried the Sling Shot and it was soooooo scary :D. Unfortunately I don't have pic of the sling shot but I do have the pic for Gokart :) I did it with my son and we only pay for $30 for whole day just because we pay only for my son :) Means that everytime I want to ride those gokarts we have to be with my son hehehe...

Weheheh.....in Orlando we can also visit Kennedy Space centre. Very nice and very good 

In the Kennedy Space center you can even see the video where Neil Armstrong did "soccer" at his first landing at the Moon :) Morevover you are not just seeing and learning about outerspace in that area, you can  see wild alligator on Kennedy space center surrounding. It is harmless because you can only see those alligators from the bus...well sure they will never let you walk on the road to see those alligators hehe

Merajut = Knitting

I just start knitting for three months. I found that doing knitting is a good way to trained ourshelf to be more patient  :) So far I have made two scarfs, one crochet hat,Amirugurumi Doll ( Boneka Amirugurumi), Cable Vest for my son, a very simple bag and a very tiny fall pumpkin haha!

Banyak website yang bisa kita cari untuk belajar knitting alias merajut ini. In my case, i learn from youtube and books which  i borrowed from library. Well i also joined the Woman International Club which consist of several women who will voluntarary will teach you how to knit...hmmmmm thats very interesting kaaaaan?!?!??

Saudara saudara....mumpung di amerika, banyak sespuh *maksudnya senior residents* beramal mau mengajari crafting at free cost jadi ya saya join saja. Saat ini saya sedang menyelesaikan projek Knitting alias M E R A J U T  :0 projek pertama ada scarf alias pashmina, wish me luck!

biaya hidup di Amerika - Living cost in the U.S

Barusan online di fb, eh ditanyain lagi sama temen yang mau ke amrik tentang biaya hidup di Amerika. Pertanyaan baliknya jadi banyak : Mau tinggal di kota apa?Mau tinggal berapa lama? Tinggal di apartmnt atau rumah? Bawa anak berapa? Anaknya mau disekolahin, di rumah saja, atau dititip di daycare?
Pertanyaan akyu juga dulu banyak....makanya cari cari di internet, dapet deh info, mulai dari disuruh cari kupon lah biar belanja hemat, trus berapa banyak lah yang harus dikeluarin kalo mau jajan di luar rumah, etc etc. Sempet kaget juga ngeliat angka berapa dollar harus mengalir dari kantung cuma untuk sebuah subway :) Ya...jangan semua dikurs-in la yauuuu hehehehe.
Setelah dateng dan tinggal disini *meski baru setaon lah yau*, kita bisa hemat kok asal gak suka jajan lho ya....Susu juga murah, di Ann Arbor tercinta, 1 galon susu  skitar 3.78L itu seharga skitar $2, murah kan...enak lagi susunya. Disini gak pake tuh susu bubuk jiaaaaa. Terus ayam juga standar hampir sama di jakarta. Telur juga murah kok. Beras...sure ada donk, Masalah makanan sih no worries lah
Yang amazed banget itu sewa apartment...wooow sewa apartment disini sebulan = sewa rumahkyu yg di jakarta selama setahun hohohoo.
